A Nightmare On Elm Street Film Review
The movie "A Nightmare On Elm Street" a 2010 release by New Line Cinema is a great film. Fans of the horror franchise will love this film. It brings back Freddy Krueger and the world of Freddy to fans all over the world--not to mention the film brings Freddy back for a new breed of young people who just don't remember Freddy so well. The "Nightmare On Elm Street," film series got started back in 1984 with the original film "A Nightmare on Elm Street," which featured actor Johnny Depp and actress Heather Langencamp. The orignal series of films went on to make it to more than 6 films in the series with titles such as "A Nightmare on Elm Street-The Dream Warrior," "A Nightmare on Elm Street-Dream Child," and the cool movie "Freddy's Dead." The best thing was that in 2003 the movie "Freddy vs. Jason" was released, this film united Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhies. The best thing is that the new film is high paced and very exciting. It is really scary. The cast are relatively fresh faced unknowns but that doesn't mean that audiences won't want to watch them fight for their lives every second of the film. The movie is so exciting and fans of "A Nightmare on Elm Street' should be pleased--however, the "new Freddy," looks different, moves different and truly sounds different than he used to at one time. Freddy looks different but it doesn't take too much away from the film as he is still wearing his trademark red and green sweater and yes--yes fans he still has his glove with the sharp knives. The film was produced by Michael Bay. "A Nightmare On Elm Street" hits theaters on April 30th.

April 26, 2010 - NewYork - HANSON is proud to announce the first two legs of their North American tour in support of their highly anticipated fifth record, Shout It Out. The announcement of the tour follows a whirlwind week of excitement for the band's debut single, "Thinking 'Bout Somethin'"which was released to digital outlets Friday in conjunction with the premiere network television performance of the song on the Late Show with David Letterman, and the music video debut on Myspace, garnering praise from fans and critics alike including Perez Hilton, MTV, Entertainment Weekly, Absolute Punk and Salon. The video, featuring "Weird" Al Yankovic, was viewed over a million times in the first few days of release, and is still rising. The exuberant homage to classic film The Blues Brothers, recreates an iconic scene where the band's soulful music incites over 300 people to dance in the street.
Billboard said that Shout It Out represents some of the band's "most soulful work ever committed to record", while Salon hailed that the new single "may be their finest moment yet", Entertainment Weekly praised "Thinking 'Bout Somethin'" as "a delicious, catchy slice of pop-soul", and Idolator predicted, "don't be surprised if there's a Hanson revival in 2010".
The first leg of the Shout It Out Tour begins July 21 with support from Rooney, and covers the east coast, south and midwest. The second leg, featuring A Rocket To The Moon, covers the southwest and west coast and begins September 14. The Shout It Out Tour also provides a platform for HANSON to continue their passion and support for independent music by partnering with OurStage to host an opening band contest in each market, where local indie artists can compete for the chance to share the stage with the band. The live streaming concert series will be viewable by the public on Hanson.net and Livestream.com as well as MSN.com. The live broadcast gives fans around the world the opportunity to be a part of the career-spanning event, and begins a series of exciting live streaming content to be continued throughout the rollout of Shout It Out.

Anita Baker will be a headliner at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 25th, and has just started work on a new album in Nashville, planned for release by Blue Note Records later in 2010.
"I'm going to Nashville to mix it up, shake it and see what comes out" says the eight-time Grammy winner with obvious glee.
Baker will be producing the album with George Duke, Nathan East and Daniel Moore, recording in Nashville in part because, she explains, "they still know how to make a record in analog." Baker has some long time friends in Nashville - just last month, when she performed at the TJ Martell Honors Gala there, attendees were surprised to find out that she counts many country stars and personalities among them.
Singing Vince Gill's "Little Liza Jane" at the dinner, Baker was backed by a cohort of Nashville players. Inspired by their performance, she's invited the "badass Nashville cats," as she terms them, to record with her this month alongside NYC and LA session musicians.
The album will also include Baker's collaboration with Snoop Dogg on a "big, lush" version of Curtis Mayfield's "Give You My Love" that she promises "is going to raise eyebrows." The rest of the album will be original material.
Baker is enthusiastic about the upcoming sessions. "I'm turning it up in a lot of ways," she says

And what will Ms. Baker play at Jazzfest? "As always, the audience is in charge of the set list, kind of like being at a Grateful Dead show" the star says with a laugh.

The latest release in Lionsgate's Tyler Perry franchise, TYLER PERRY'S WHY DID I GET MARRIED, TOO?, reached $54.8 million in its third week in release. Lionsgate secured over 6,500 screens this past weekend, representing 16% of the North American marketplace.

Soulful southern blues and rock, gospel-like choruses, Americana and a touch of country, the new album is much like Bice himself; irresistibly likeable, filled with easygoing charm and undeniable talent.

Bice’s Southern sensibility, earthy vocals and decidedly non-pop performances won over a nation of fans during the fourth season of American Idol, where he landed as the runner-up to Carrie Underwood. This Spring MGMT will set out on a tour of North America in support of their sophomore release Congratulations, in stores April 13, 2010. U.S. tour dates kick off with a pair of back to back, sold-out shows at San Francisco’s legendary Fillmore on April 12 and 13. The band returns to Indio, CA on April 17 to deliver another memorable performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Following their first festival debut of the year, the band will continue touring through out the summer, also performing at Bamboozle on May 2nd and Lollapalooza on August 8th (see below for full itinerary).
With the release of Congratulations, MGMT continue to evolve their visionary and groundbreaking style of music. Critics are cheering Congratulations for its sincerity and originality. Spin described the new music as “uncommonly, emotionally honest” while MOJO declared it “the post-punk Brit-psych masterpiece of the year…a reinvention so fully realized” in their 5 star review.
