Fame Kills: Starring Kanye West & Lady Gaga

Kanye West and Lady Gaga today officially announced dates for one of the most anticipated tours of the year ─ “Fame Kills: Starring Kanye West & Lady Gaga”. After months of planning, the multiplatinum artists will unite for 34 shows in 34 cities that will stretch musical boundaries with their distinctive performance styles and production. “Fame Kills: Starring Kanye West & Lady Gaga” will be produced by Live Nation. DAY26 recently released their video album "Forever In Your Eyes", available exclusively on iTunes now. "Forever In Your Eyes" is being led by breezy mid-tempo ballad "So Good", which was the #1 Most Added Song at radio for 2 weeks in a row and premiered worldwide on MTV during Diddy's "Making His Band". NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2009 – Nickelodeon’s iCarly “iThink They Kissed” (Saturday, Sept. 12, 8 p.m. ET/PT) ranked as the top-rated kids’ program on all of television for the week (9/7/09-9/13/09), drawing 7.6 million viewers (P2+), according to Nielsen Media Research. The half-hour episode scored a clean sweep among all kid demographics, averaging a 10.9/3.8 million K2-11 (+252%), a 14.9/3.2 million K6-11, (+303%) and a 14.2/3.1 million T9-14 (+344%).

“iThink They Kissed” also ranked as basic cable’s number-one series telecast for the week with total viewers and the number-two entertainment program overall, behind only MTV’s 2009 Video Music Awards. iCarly is the number-one series among kids 2-11 and 6-11 for year to date and ranks as the top kids’ show with total viewers on ad-supported cable (source: NMR, Live +7 Day from 12/29/09; Live + Same Day from 8/31/09-9/13/09).

Posting triple-digit gains over last year with every kid and total viewer demographic, and against all direct programming competition, “iThink They Kissed” helped fuel a winning week for Nickelodeon. The world's most unpredictable and entertaining experimental rock band, THE FLAMING LIPS, are gearing up for a busy fall. First up, the band will appear on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report on September 16th, which airs that night at 11:30 p.m. ET. Check local listings for details.

The LIPS' brand-new double-album, EMBRYONIC will be available online in its entirety for a limited-time only at http://www.colbertnation.com immediately after Wednesday night's show through Monday, September 21. This will be the first complete airing of the album in advance of release and the first time The Colbert Report has presented any album by an artist.

THE LIPS are appearing on Colbert to spread the word about EMBRYONIC, which will be released by Warner Bros. Records on October 13th. This marks their first full studio set in three years following their Grammy Award-winning AT WAR WITH THE MYSTICS. EMBRYONIC, THE LIPS' 12th album, was recorded in Fredonia, NY, and Oklahoma City, OK, with studio whiz and general co-conspirator Dave Fridmann and just may be their most sonically adventurous and compositionally vernal form of musical expression ever. In honor of the October 13th release date, THE LIPS will perform on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien that night.

EMBRYONIC will be released in multiple configurations: a standard CD, featuring 18 tracks, and a deluxe package that includes two CD's (18 tracks plus a bonus audio DVD of the full album) and a custom hardcover book featuring 24 pages of full-color art, lyrics, and band photos. This deluxe package is a limited-edition run and has been custom-designed by THE FLAMING LIPS. The album will also be released on vinyl with a single gatefold jacket that includes two colored LP's (one blue and one yellow). A CD version of the album will be included with the vinyl package.

THE LIPS will also release EMBRYONIC in two Direct to Consumer packages available only via the band's online store at http://www.flaminglips.com.
